Job Description

Are you fed up with all the paperwork that teaching bringsLooking for a ICT teaching role in a school with the Monday to Friday flexibility that you desireAcademics are actively recruiting experienced ICT Teachers who are now looking to gain supply (day-to-day with the potential of short and long term roles) opportunities within our partnership secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent.Whether it is a long term contract or more day-to-day casual cover work, Academics focus the job search around you and look to provide you with the type of work you are looking for. This can also be either on full time or part time contracts and our supply teaching opportunities are great as they allow our teachers to be flexible with the days that they wish to work. These roles can be ideal for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) as they could potentially lead to more long-term and permanent roles in some of our schools.For this role, applicants that apply must:

  • Evidently have a proven track record of teaching ICT to students in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Be a confident communicator and motivator in the classroom.
  • Hold the relevant teaching and ICT qualifications (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with a Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
  • Deliver exciting and engaging ICT lessons using your own initiative.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service or to be prepared to apply for a new DBS application through ourselves (a cost does apply for a new application).
  • Academics specialise in the recruitment of permanent, long term, and daily supply teachers and support staff.
