Job Description

Academics are actively recruiting knowledgeable Humanities Teachers who are now looking to gain daily supply (with the potential of short and long term roles) opportunities within our partnership secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent.Our supply teaching opportunities allow our teachers to be flexible with the days that they wish to work and this role can be ideal for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) as they could lead to more long-term and permanent opportunities in some of our client schools.Who are AcademicsAcademics are a leading national academic jobs agency, specialising in the recruitment of permanent, long term and daily supply teacher jobs and education support staff for vacancies in Nurseries, Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Further Education establishments.   • Hold the relevant Humanities teaching qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with an UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or Newly Qualified Teaching Status (NQT).
  • Have the specialism and reference evidence of teaching Humanties to both KS3 and KS4. KS5 would also be desirably, but not essential for this supply role.
  • Have strong behaviour management with excellent subject knowledge.
  • Be able to adapt quickly within the school and to be a good team player with staff.
  • Have a current enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or to be prepared to apply for a new enhanced DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
