Job Description

The Company:An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client an established housing provider in the UK. My client is an established housing provider with a generic housing management and supported housing services.The Role:My client is looking for a Tenancy Support Worker on an initial three-month contract with the view to an extension based in North Staffordshire.This is a full-time role 37.5 Hours, must be flexible to work across the week.Morning 8 am4 pm And lates 4 pm10 pmPay rate for this role is 10.00 PAYE OR £12.00 UmbrellaCandidate will require a full UK Drivers License and access to a vehicle too.This role is hostel based, supporting clients Vulnerable adults, mental health, drugs- alcohol dependency, learning disability.Day to day duties will include:

  • As a Tenancy Support worker, you will need to deliver an excellent customer focussed strengths -based service in line with organisations values, policies and procedures
  • You will need to ensure that adults with multiple and complex needs are supported to enable them to positively move-on in a planned way into their own home.
  • An important part of your role will be to support customers within the hostels and associated satellite properties to assess their own needs, design and deliver tenancy support plans which help them achieve their goals and aspirations and which build upontheir individual strengths.
  • You will be required to contribute towards the scheme/service achieving its performance targets and outcomes.
  • Part of your role will be to provide in reach tenancy support within the hostels and outreach within the associated satellite accommodation transitional/ move-on properties and link in with the Rough Sleepers provision/ organisations Community basedTenancy Support provision where appropriate
  • You will need to ensure that properties are let in a timely manner and that tenants/ customers are aware of their rights and obligations in line with their occupancy agreements
  • An important area of focus will be for you to provide tailored support to help customers sustain their tenancy; and develop both their confidence, self -esteem and skills to maintain their tenancy and home.
  • Furthermore, you will need develop bespoke tenancy support plans and provide tenancy support services to maximise customers` prospects of sustaining their tenancy.
The Candidate:The successful candidate will have previous experience of having worked as a Tenancy Support worker or in a similar capacity for an established housing provider or a local authority, including:
  • Experience of working within a customer-focussed role, adept at building relationships with great negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Supporting tenants with housing related support, from budgeting, payment plans to welfare and benefits advice.
  • Provider, with an understanding of relevant environmental and social issues.
  • Tech savvy, you will be comfortable with our digital first approach and confident in the use of IT systems
