Job Description

As a leading e-commerce retailer who are passionate about period renovation and interior design - this business offers an innovative, forward thinking and face paced working environment. Therefore will suit an individual who is passionate and motivated to take their career to the next level.The Stores Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the busy storage systems of the organisation. The role is required to support the additional workload the team are experiencing within this space.Responsiblities for the role of stores person:

  • Acknowledge the receipt, storage and organisation of goods in/out
  • Accurately processing sales orders via an inhouse system
  • Ensure all goods are unpacked and stored safely within the warehouse facility.
  • Liaise with external shipping/freight companies for delivery across UK and international regions
  • Organise, manage and prepare shipping documents for all deliveries
  • Keep all areas clean and tidy.
  • Ensure all customer enquiries via email, telephone and face to face are dealt with effectively maintaining a high level of customer service at all times.
  • To maintain all documentation accurately and concisely always.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all materials stored, identifying areas of low stock and communicating to Directors.
  • Heavy lifting duties will be required daily as part of stock management.
    • You will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English, with previous experiencing of operating in a similar role ideally in a warehouse, showroom or stores setting.You will be able to interpret and record information clearly on an inhouse computerised system. In addition you must possess the ability to follow clearly defined processes, identify improvements and work from own initiative.To be successful in this role you will be confident working independently once an initial onboarding and training process has taken place. This role requires an individual who has the ability to communicate with various internal and external personnel with confidence and a high level of care.A full British driving license is advantageous but not essential.Privacy notice: At H2 Consultancy we take your privacy seriously.
