Job Description

Job ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 3 software developers, whilst being hands-on/technical and maintain and improve software solutions to ensure that they meet functional requirements, perform well, are supportable and achieve their agreed service levels.

  • Assessment: Own and drive the impact assessment of incidents arising
  • Resolution Design: Convert the resolution requirements into a revised solution design.
  • Resolution Development: Produce and manage efficient, effective and scalable software solutions and documentation.
  • Resolution Delivery: Facilitate the implementation of a full and final resolution, including 3rd parties as required.
  • Testing: Execute testing to ensure prompt and successful incident resolution. Plan and organise the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of incident resolutions.
  • Controls: Control incident workload and support others to do the same in order to deliver a successful application support service.
    • Skills Required
  • A minimum of 3 years in a software development lead or managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Hands-on development skills - iBMi/iSeries, COBOL, AS400, RPG400 (Free Format/Embedded SQL), RPGLE, CL/400, CLLE, SQL/400 and SQLRPGLE.
  • This role will mainly be office based, with some remote work. Training will be initially onsite.
