Senior Clinical Nurse Childrens Intensive CareBand 6 -35 Hours, PermanentAn exciting opportunity has arisen within the University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) Children’s Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital (RSUH) site in Stoke-on-Trent.RSUH is a £350 million state of the art hospital development that, along with County Hospital in Stafford, serves the population of Staffordshire and beyond, with both local and specialist tertiary services.The Unit is part of the UHNM Child Health Directorate. The Directorate offers you the opportunity to develop your career aspirations via a yearly appraisal and bespoke training and development plan with access, and support from, the Directorate and Corporate Educational and Development teams. In return we are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Children’ Nurse who, through interview and assessment, demonstrates a commitment to delivering exceptional care to children and families.The Senior Clinical Nurse within the Child Health will supports the Senior Sister and Directorate Management team in the delivery of a quality children’s service’s to match the patient and parent/guardian experience.The role of the Senior Clinical Nurse is to be clinically credible in the delivery of general and specialist services delivered within the Child Health Children’s Wards.The Senior Clinical Nurse work closely with the Senior Sister in the delivery of evidence based practice; ensuring patients receive safe and effective patient care to meet the Directorate & Trust safety agenda and matching parent and family expectations.The Senior Team work in close partnership with the Consultants and Nurse Specialists to ensure all patients receive a quality service when accessing the department and will develop care pathways, PGD’s guidelines and policies and patient information to support this, working collaboratively with the Lead Nurse for Quality for the ward area.The Senior Clinical Nurse will Support the Senior Sister and Deputise for the area ensuring that an affective and skilled workforce is available to deliver the services within the clinical area.If you are looking for your next challenge in a Senior Nurse role and have a minimum 2 years’ experience working at a senior level within a Children’s Acute Service, then this is the post for you!For further details / informal visits contact:Matron Teresa Wilson or Senior Sister Kate FodenTel.
