Job Description

Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) Teaching AssistantReed Education are currently looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants with a Speech and Language Specialism to work in schools across Staffordshire and Cheshire.We are looking to speak with SEN TA?s with experience supporting children and young adults who require additional support and are confident in using BSL, Makaton, PECS or PODD. Working with children with SLCN can be very challenging however extremely rewarding and requires patience, compassion and dedication.In return for your hard work, you will receive;

  • What you will need;
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant, SEN or Learning Support Qualifications
  • Experience ort qualifications in BSL, Makaton, PECS, or PODD
  • Experience supporting on a 1:1 basis, providing interventions or working with small groups
  • A passion for supporting SLCN pupils with a variety of needs and ensuring they are able to overcome barriers to learning and engage in the curriculum
  • Dedication, initiative and resilience to overcome issues faced
