* Develop & implement new SOPs to encourage improved working practices* Investigate and implement a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales* Deliver organic growth and improved profitabilitySales & Operations ManagerStoke on Trent£40-£50k + Generous Bonus + CarMy client is an extremely well-established distributor of fuels, oils and lubricants operating out of many specialist depots across the UK and we are delighted to support in their search for a Sales & Operations Manager to join the team at their distributionsite in Staffordshire.You will be responsible to manage the day-to-day commercial aspects of this busy and vibrant depot, ensuring all sales targets are met and customer expectations delivered. You will be capable of identifying, proposing and delivering strategic business opportunities,as well as improving current performance in existing products and services, with also a focus on operational activities, such as transport, compliance and H&S aspects of the depots.Key Responsibilities: * As part of the Management Team, identify and propose initiatives to support the local Depots Regional and Business Sales Strategies* Support the depot sales teams to deliver individual targets and ensure the depot sales and strategic targets are exceeded* Develop and implement new procedures and processes to encourage improved working practices, including forecasting and performance activities (KPIs)* Ensure full collaboration between the customer, depot sales and marketing to convert new customer and product opportunities* Investigate and implement a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales* Work in close collaboration with the region and wider business to exploit sales and marketing opportunities* Deliver organic growth and improved profitability* Submit annual financial budgets for sales team and depots* Adopting and integrating sales initiatives* Coach and develop the teamKey Skills: * Experience in working with multi-depot business with B2B and B2C sales driven environment.* Strong sales background with experience of developing sales strategies in a B2B and B2C* Proven experience of selling physical products and value-added service solutions* Thorough understanding of a KPI driven sales environment* An excellent people manager with strong motivational skills* A high degree of commercial intelligence & cost aspects* Understanding of operational aspects of a delivery/transportation service* Experience working with internal finance and marketing teams* A positive and resilient character, with a can-do attitude* Strong attention to detail, with a results driven approach* A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to deliver with impact and build external and internal relationships* Skilled in mentoring and coaching* Experience in costing, presenting and implementing detailed annual budgetsThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a very well-established but continually growing business with depots all over the UK in a key role as part of their highly successful management team.
