Job Description

Aura Brand Solutions is one of Europe’s leading commercial graphics and visual communication providers. We create solutions for transportation, retail and architectural markets. Were looking for an IT Solutions Developer to enhance and complement our IT function to develop and support the delivery of our IT Digital Strategy- a digitally enabled customer focused vision aligned to our Corporate Plan. The strategy is designed to improve choice for customers, improve support for colleagues, and, improve commercial sustainability.To design, develop and maintain digital solutions using the Microsoft stack, with a focus around web applications and integrations, that complements enterprise level solutions. This will require working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to ensure the delivery of new solutions alongside the Digital Transformation team.This role offers the opportunity to work remotely from your home; with some travel required to our sites in Stoke-on-Trent and Lowestoft. Principle Accountabilities

  • To design, develop and maintain enterprise level applications & integrations
  • To design, develop and maintain, sustainable web forms, applications and integrations, that innovate and add value, improving the services provided
  • To ensure that any new development and/or changes made are fit for purpose, meet requirements and do not break, damage or degrade the wider digital platforms
  • To work with and assist in the maintenance of the development life cycle including source code management, release management, defect and change management
    • Core Responsibilities
  • To promote the technical strategy, develop and implement appropriate technical designs, and provide day to day technical service
  • To lead the management and maintenance of relevant administration portals
  • To design, build, test and deploy automation processes that are right-sized to meet tactical or strategic requirements
  • To deliver application design, build and implementation activities to programmes and projects
  • To develop and maintain partnership relationships with key suppliers and technical authorities to maintain own position as technical leader in areas of expertise
  • To contribute to solution application and operational designs and promote adherence to application strategy and best practice
  • To test and evaluate new technology
  • To work with colleagues at all levels across the Group to investigate operational and business requirements and problems, recommending effective business solutions through improvements in information systems, data management, processes, procedures, organisation and technology. Strong stakeholder management skills are required at all business levels
  • To work alone, as a team leader or as part of a team, analysing underlying issues arising from investigations into requirements and problems; model business functions, processes, information flows and data structures, using best practice methods and techniques and identify options available for consideration
  • To work with the wider IT Service Team to maintain services within published SLAs

    • Essential Skills
  • Extensive experience of development within the Microsoft stack (O365, Forms, SharePoint etc. using cloud-based technologies such as Power Apps, Power Automate & Power BI)
  • Significant successful experience of technical innovation through solution design and development, within a programme/project environment
  • Substantial experience of successful delivery using Agile methodologies, ensuring solutions are refined, fit for purpose, intuitive, customer focused and robust
  • Experience of working within an IT operational framework to manage and resolve incidents and fulfil change requests
  • Awareness and/or knowledge of security and compliance portals
  • Awareness, conditional access and/or knowledge of Microsoft Azure’s active directory
  • Confidence in working strategically and understanding impact

  • T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS
  • PowerShell script
  • Website dev knowledge - PHP, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS
