Job Description

Quality ManagerAre you a Quality Manager or a Quality Engineer looking to upskill within a growing manufacturing businessWe are supporting a UK manufacturing and distribution business with the recruitment of a Quality Manager. This opportunity is offered within a long established and growing business with a turnover of £5m in the UK. This business forms part of a global group of companies, however it continues to operate as a small family run entity.Based in Stoke-on-Trent, this business manufactures speciality products and pride themselves on their premium quality and consistent innovation.The Quality Manager will have full responsibility for all aspects of quality and the maintenance of industry standards. You will ensure continuous improvements to product quality, implementing cost saving measures, and full adherence to quality systems aspart of the overall drive towards maintaining a first-class manufacturing environment.Main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Maintain the site Quality Plan and Quality Objectives
  • Ensure the company complies with the requirements of ISO 9000
  • Provide quality support ensuring product manufactured conforms to quality standards and specifications.
  • Further develop and implement Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Ensure appropriate risk identification and management processes are maintained
  • Ensure all risks and actions are fully recorded and actioned and an auditable trail exists via the risk register and consistent monitoring of activities
  • Mentor, coach and share subject matter expertise with the wider business
Experience Required
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of ISO 9000 quality systems and statutory and regulatory standards and requirements, ideally specific to hydraulics, mechanical health and safety and pressure systems
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing business
  • Confident communicating with customers and key stakeholders within the business
  • Able to proactive problem-solving techniques and solutions
  • Skilled with Microsoft packages, alongside an analytical approach to data.
