Job Description

We now have immediate starts for skilled and experienced Quality Control Inspectors to join one of Staffordshire leading engineering companys.Coming from an engineering background you will have a broad knowledge of mechanical engineering and all aspects associated with quality control from the use of manual measuring equipment, interpreting technical drawings and possessing a good knowledge of ISO 9001.The Role

  • Perform checks, tests, and sampling procedures of in-process and final product inspections.
  • Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.
  • Interacts with other departments to ensure compliance with specification and communicates findings effectively.
  • Experience of Faro Measuring equipment would be an advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in the use of manual measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, GDT is essential.
  • Comfortable working to deadlines and tolerances.
  • Experience of high integrity industries i.e. Nuclear, Defence, Petrochemical, Aerospace or Automotive would be highly desirable.
    • The Person
  • A minimum of 2 years Quality Control experience in an Engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Quality Systems and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and competent in the use of manual measuring equipment e.g. micrometers, vernier’s etc.
  • CMM operation and programming a plus but certainly not a perquisite.
  • Solutions focused with a positive and flexible can-do attitude and appraoch.
  • Able to work shifts and flexibility to work overtime including weekends.
  • Communicates effectively and efficiently in English (written and oral).
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
