Programme Manager (Fibre Build)Stoke on Trent region but work from homePackage: £70,000 & benefitsThis is a great opportunity to work for a new client side telecoms company that is building a FTTX / Fibre Network across the UK.Were looking for a telecoms build all rounder and formally, this role will be a programme manager but with a few hybrid areas across operations and contract management. Its telecoms fibre build and youll own the region overall, with support from build management, design, SHEQ and the PMO.In a nutshell, youll be the overall go-to person for the programme area and a big advantage with this role is that the build is a joint venture with the local council meaning the relationship is on the front foot and you would be working in partnership with the LA to deliver / own the infrastructure in the ground. This equals opportunity and a real chance to influence and determine how the model will be nationally.Staffordshire is going to be the blueprint and will be replicated as to how this company plan, build and deploy networks across the UK so its a real chance for a well-known face from around the telecoms industry to join and play a part in significant growth through 2020 and beyond.Who are youWere looking for an experienced telecoms build all rounder who can cover programme, project, contract and operations (With assumed support from the civils supervisors, build managers, SHEQ and a PMO but it still needs to be someone who can think on their feet and play a part in both the implementation of process and a methodology that suits a rapid growth FTTX business.) Its a senior role so you need to be from the fibre build industry and its program management along with controlling time & quality cost on network build and its a hit the ground running environment. This is a permanent position working directly for the client and all things being well, could quickly progress in a role that carries national level responsibility as the future for the company is looking bright, with significant investment and further projects coming on line in Q1 2021 around the rest of the UK. Staffordshire is the patch so you need to be within commuting range and its a mix of being in the office and working from home - maybe in the office for 2 days, and WFH the rest on a fluid basis so would be within range of most managers in the Midlands and North West.
