Job Description

Production Operative, Longport - Stoke on TrentWe are Progress Rail, a Caterpillar company, supplying comprehensive rolling stock and infrastructure solutions for the global rail industry and setting the standard for excellence. We are looking to recruit a Production Operative based at Electro-MotiveDiesel Limited (EMDL) facility in Longport.In this role, you will be required to undertake varied labouring activities and provide assistance to the team as instructed, while at all times carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the post in compliance with the Companys HSEQ Policy. You willbe responsible for the quality of own work, cleaning and tidying of work area as well as work effectively and with a sense of urgency.Responsibilties Include:

  • To ensure zero defects and or warranty claims on own areas of work
  • To provide a proactive and responsive service to internal and external customers
  • To contribute positively to continuous improvement activities
  • On time completion of tasks
  • Proactive and effective support of team members in service delivery
  • Maintain a safe, tidy and clean work area
  • To take ownership for personal quality and deliver to the required quality standards
  • To build productive and effective working relationships with Company staff
  • Adhere to and comply with the Companys Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies at all times
