Data Analyst (Power BI)Location: Stoke on TrentPackage: £30,000 plus private health, enhanced pension. This is a role working for a company that has invested millions of pounds into the Stoke area, as they build and deploy a state of the art telecoms network across the region that will bring ultra fast internet speeds both locally, but also on a nationalbasis.Weve seen them grow rapidly over the past 3 years and are now a known name, across the UK telecoms sector.Stoke is the main hub, and the core of their operations and on that basis, weve been tasked with recruiting a new data analyst to join the small team that are responsible for building and deploying reports that will generate key insights from customer andsupplier data. Its an analysis role and youll extracting and aggregating data from various sources, making sure it is clean, consistent and reliable and then providing the reports to leadership across multiple functions in the business.Who are you Key background and skills:The key is Power BI / DAX and we are looking for solid commercial hands on, without being too over the top.Training will be given on specific applications but to give an idea, wed be looking for a couple of years commercial Power BI / DAX alongside advanced Ms Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced charting and dashboard design). Not just a report producing role, and youll be analysing complex datasets to verify drivers and assumptions, using historical data to identify patterns and trends in business / sales cycles. Some SQL knowledge would be good, but this is not a heavy SQL role and the key is definitely Power BI alongside the communication skills needed to integrate across a range of departments in a technology / infrastructure build and deployment business. The environment is fast moving, and straight talking but the company is full of local people, and this international business has brought a lot of technology and investment into the communities across Staffordshire (And beyond).Modern offices, between Stoke and Hanley with good public transport access and free car parking. Flexible working is in place, but you would be in the office on a weekly basis.
