Job Description

The Asset Investment Surveyor is responsible for supervising contracts with an annual value of circa £2-3m.Client DetailsOne of the Largest Social Housing Providers in the country.DescriptionThe Planned Investment Surveyor will:

  • Working closely with colleagues in the Asset and Operational teams and contractors to prepare and deliver annual programme of works effectively and efficiently.
  • Communicating progress and changes to the programme with key stakeholders, operations, customers and contractors to ensure high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Overall responsibility for delivery of all individual allocated projects on time, within budget and cash flow targets.
  • Responsible for scoping, design and costing of projects including management of contractor performance on site, undertaking inspections to ensure a high quality service and product is delivered to our customers.
  • Understand and report on programme performance, provide feedback to Senior Asset Investment Surveyor and robustly address poor performance, working collaboratively with the contractor and other key stakeholders.
ProfileThe Planned Investment Surveyor will have the following:
  • Qualified to HNC level in Building, electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent workplace experience
  • Working knowledge of relevant current building practices and legislation including Health & Safety at Work Act, Building Regulations, Party Wall Act, Workplace Regulations, CDM and British and European Standards
  • Background in Building, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with prior experience of project delivery
  • Project budgetary management experience across multiple projects/contracts
  • Practical knowledge of management of CDM across a variety of work types
  • Ability to take ownership of issues and drive through to conclusion
  • Flexible, co-operative approach and ability to work in a team
