About theOperationsManager role:You will be responsible for end-to-end operations on-site including production, quality, warehousing, maintenance and process improvements.Operating at a senior level, this role will have full control of manufacturing across multiple sites, working closely with the respective management teams in each area in order to safely deliver a high level of performance.Key responsibilities of our OperationsManager will include:
  • Ensuring the safety of all colleagues on-site, alongside the SHE Manager
  • Achievement of weekly production targets
  • Driving performance and achieving the highest levels of productivity, efficiency and quality through 5S / other lean
  • Maintaining effective workflow management to ensure the optimal utilisation of resources and personnel
  • Reporting on key metrics such as OTIF, OEE and output per employee etc
  • Looking externally for best practice approaches across other industries
  • Providing leadership, management and direction to the manufacturing management team
  • Communicating business priorities to your teams with regular meetings, gaining full buy-in from all colleagues
  • Embedding core values across the entire workforce, leading by example
  • Ensuring collaboration and clear communication, so that departments over both sites work as one cohesive unit
  • Carrying out monthly 1:1s to ensure the development of the management team, embedding a culture of high performance through coaching and mentoring
What we are looking for in our OperationsManager:
  • A proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Highly proficient IT and numerical skills
  • An analytical mind with very strong attention to detail
  • A hands-on approach to problem-solving, happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in where required
  • Excellent planning, organising and communicating skills
  • A confident and determined approach, self-motivated with the drive to succeed
  • Background in running manufacturing operations - 5 years minimum is preferred
