Job Description

We have specifically developed our staff structure to provide both excellent service to support clinical services as well as offering a clear career path for those who want a career in NHS IT.We are looking to recruit to our Operational Development team, an enthusiastic individual with experience working within a busy desktop IT support role. This team of Operational Development Engineers will be responsible for the design, testing and deployment of new systems, technologies & solutions, alongside the day to day business operations including Problem, Change and Release Management.Interaction with our other support teams is vital, to quickly identify common faults, provide workarounds and develop resolutions where required. This role therefore requires technical ability, a positive can-do attitude, and a good eye for problem solving due to the variety and complexity of daily tasks. This role will suit IT Support professionals who would like to expand on their already proven desktop support skills. We are committed to maintaining a high standard of service and back this up with training (e.g. ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, SCCM) and support (e.g. personal development plans, talent management). The experiences gained though this role will provide excellent opportunities for further career progression into technical, project and supervisory management roles. The role will be primarily based at Trentham, in North Staffordshire, however there will be requirements to complete onsite working from any of our customer locations, sometimes using your own vehicle as transport.
