Job Description

We are looking for a Network Officer to join our team in the Midlands, covering Leicester, Worcester and Adderley Green.As a Network Officer you will be ensuring services are scheduled in an efficient, punctual, reliable, lawful and cost-effective way.Working in a collaborative way, you will establish strong and effective working relationships, with colleagues across the Division.What will you be doing

  • Finding solutions for service-related issues and new initiatives and developments
  • Monitor service reliability and loadings, and suggest solutions
  • Assist with the preparation of timetables and documentation for services registrations
  • Assist with the compilation of duties and rosters within both legal and locally agreed constraints
  • Maintain strong links with internal stakeholders across a number of departments
  • To provide accurate passenger, punctuality or other data to Local Authorities and Department for Transport as required.
  • Support the network team to ensure that all relevant data and records are accurate
  • Assist with the preparation of tender bids for submission
  • To ensure that accurate and up to date TransXchange files are provided to Local Authorities, uTrack, Ticketer etc.
  • Ensuring Operations Teams are provided withnecessary paperwork with regard to service changes
Skills & Experience
  • Excellent customer service focus
  • Good numeracy skills, with the ability to understand data
  • Basic understanding of scheduling principles
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • Basic knowledge of the local network and the road traffic act
