Network Engineer (Cisco, Networking, Routing, Switching, OSPF, BGP, Meraki, VLAN, Security, Firewall, Checkpoint, OSI, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) - Permanent -Stoke-on-TrentSearch IT are currently looking for a Network Engineer on a permanent basis for our prestigious and fast growing client based in Stoke-on-Trent.Salary: Up To £55,000 Per Annum D.O.ELocation: Stoke-on-TrentSkills/Requirements for the Network Engineer:* Extensive previous networking experience * Routing and strong switching experience including OSPF and BGP protocols* Experience of Firewalls with a preference for ASA, Checkpoint or any Enterprise level firewall* Experience of using TCP/IP protocols* Previous experience of working within an ITIL environment* Certified within CCNADesirable Skills:* Wireless - Meraki * Cisco certified within CCNP or CCIEStart date is ASAP The Network Engineer will be responsible for:* Leading and facilitating meeting with both technical and none technical staff* Collecting technical data/concepts and turning them into viable and workable business initiative* Getting involved from the start of projects at the technical design phase through he design process* Providing both Project based support in addition to ad-hoc BAU work on the network* Giving consultation to developers, architects, engineers and non-technical business stakeholders.* To perform change control and device configuration management activities on all network systems.* To help lead network architecture and design initiatives with full documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy and supportability.* Project Manage Network related projects and work packages ensuring delivery in a controlled and timely manner whether as a Network specific project or as part of other IT initiatives and service improvements.
