The Role: MDU Designer (FTTP)Location: Stoke on Trent / Staffordshire / Cheshire with WFHPackage: £40-45,000 plus benefitsOverview:We are looking to recruit a telecoms MDU designer, who can join an expanding FTTP build and working under the national design manager, take end to end ownership of the MDU design process. This will be everything from survey through design and handover of job pack, and the position is a permanent role working client side for the network builder / owner. its a mixture of business and residential and while the focus for now will be Cheshire and Staffordshire, the position will evolve to take a national remit, so should be both secure, long term and offer plenty of variety.Company are live with customers and have great plans for growth, plus a lot of investment and that equals both opportunity and stability.Mixture of office based, work from home and in the field, so youll need to be within occasional commuting range of the main build patch although plenty of flexibility on the working week will come into play.Responsibilities:You`ll be part of the design team but will be the owner of MDU design and in this varied position youll:* Assist in the running of trials to clarify the specifications for the various types of MDU, both existing buildings and new developments.* Provide timely and accurate design solutions from concept through to engineering handover. * Ensure network architecture and planning guidelines are upheld* Manage and own any exceptions to design rules* Ensure the accuracy of network records and that all design changes are fully reflected in all relevant documentation.* Complete efficient designs for MDUs, New developments and business parks. This is all new build and the company are using their own network, so its the blank canvass of full fibre solutions and you`ll be own the design for MDU on an end to end basis. This is going to be a fast moving, roll out but with a strong eye on quality, so you should be well versed in a similar telecoms environment and you`ll be able to point to a track record of delivering the right quality, within agreed timescales.
