Job Description

Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League is looking for a Maintenance Operative to work within a team to support its Facilities Operations at the bet365 Stadium, our Training Ground facility at Clayton Wood as well as our retail shops andwarehouses.Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be involved in carrying out all types of maintenance tasks to ensure the facilities are maintained to a high standard.Ideally, you should have skills in building maintenance and experience in carrying out general maintenance duties.Main Responsibilities

  • Carrying out painting and decorating tasks as required.
  • Undertaking general maintenance and repairs to fixtures, fittings and buildings including joinery repairs.
  • Minor plumbing and drainage repairs and installations.
  • Maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery where qualified to do so.
  • Assembling and dismantling of seating, shelving, and storage systems.
  • External maintenance and repair of groundwork, buildings and walls to include ad hoc footpath maintenance, jet washing, gritting and snow clearance.
  • Working and liaising with maintenance personnel and subcontractors.
  • Completing maintenance checklists for health and safety, building and roof maintenance and ladder inspections.
  • Ordering of parts, materials and supplies.
  • Responding to building emergencies.
  • Any other tasks that may be required.
The ideal candidate will be available to work evenings and weekends to cover match day fixtures and other adhoc events at the bet365 Stadium.The position is offered on a full time basis.This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults at risk and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
