It’s what delivering great healthcare should feel like.What you will be doingAs the Unit Lead you will:Manage all clinical staff ensuring the staffing levels are met on all shifts through the production of 4 weekly rosters.Have responsibility for the clinical care of all residents in the absence of the Clinical Services ManagerParticipate as a member of the nursing team in the assessing, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans including liaising with other relevant agencies as appropriate.Provide ongoing monitoring, support and assessment of residents’ physical and physiological needs.Be aware of the effects of prescribed medication, advising residents and liaising and/or informing other health professionals as necessary or required.Maintain safe custody, accurate administration and recording of drugs at all times.Be aware of and have regard for the advice from the NMC and other statutory bodies in relation to professional matters.Promote personal and social skills and leisure activities for all residents.Liaise with relatives and carers with empathy giving information, support and advice whenever and as often as required. Participate in monthly relatives meetings.Maintain concise records and provide reports as necessary for each resident’s case review.Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all clinical equipment.Ensure good record keeping and documentationThings that you will have:

  • A relevant nursing qualification and registration RGN/RMN/RNLD

  • A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice
  • The service operates 24/7. You will work shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays and nights. Standard shifts are 12 hours a day, working 3 days one week, 4 days the next on a 2 week rolling rota.Where you will be workingLocation:Dividy Road,Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire,ST2 0TNYou will be working at Adderley Green, which consists of two units. Moorcroft Manor is a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, while Gladstone House is a specialist inpatient unit for people over 65 living with complex dementia.Both units haveextensive facilities catering for the specific needs of people aged over 18 years who have complex neurological care and rehabilitation requirements, and those who are above 65 and living with complex dementia.You will working alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver truly person-centred services where each individual is at the heart of everything.What you will get
