The Role: Junior Build Engineer (FTTP)Location: Stoke on TrentPackage: £30k & Vehicle (Van) Private HealthOverview:We are looking to recruit a junior telecoms build engineer for a client side FTTP new build around Cheshire and Staffordshire. This is a great chance for someone with a strong FTTP / Civils / Field Engineering background to step away from the tools and moveinto supervision. Youll be working alongside a really strong FTTP delivery team, so coaching and development is going to be top notch and from early days, youll be directing the build partners by way of targets & quality, helping them to do their job andput in a state of the art, full fibre telecoms network. Reporting to the regional build manager, youll be based on patch and in a floating role, will be supervising operational performance on a new FTTP build programme for full fibre networks on both residential and business. The work / opportunity is both secure,long term and offer plenty of variety.This is FTTP and as such, youll need some experience of having worked in the industry with an understanding of civils within NRSWA. Maybe a field engineering, civils gang or inspection background with the ability to learn and help to grow the programme area.The job is permanent and is working for the client / service provider.Office based and in the field, so youll need to be on the patch through the working week which means commuting range to the general Staffordshire and Cheshire areas.Responsibilities:You`ll be working in the project team responsible for the network delivery of full fibre solutions and will play your part to support the build and delivery of the fibre in the ground network. The company are embracing modern build techniques and have good relationships with the civils partners so this is a fair environment, and your style will be firm but fair when it comes to the contract partners.
