Job Description

Sirona Medicals Social Work Department are recruiting for a FosteringIndependent Reviewing Officer

  • Conduct statutory independent reviews including cause for concern and post allegation reviews of local authority foster carers
  • Chair reviews and produce high quality reports for the Service within agreed timescales
  • Complete full audits of Foster Carers files prior to their Annual Reviews.
  • Ensure foster carers are aware of the childs care plan and focused on achieving permanency for looked after children.
  • Be responsible for maintaining up to date, accurate data on the IT database.
  • Assist in the provision of statistical information to enhance the performance of the service.
To apply for this role you must have:
  • A relevant Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work/DipSW or equivalent)
  • Social Work England Registered
  • Be eligible to work within the UK
  • Be a car driver and have access to a vehicle
  • Understanding of the Care Planning Regulations, Fostering Regulations and care leavers
  • Ability to effectively chair complex meetings
  • Experience of working with Signs of Safety and ideally systemic practice model
