Job Description

Health and Safety OfficerWe are representing a Global business with the recruitment of an experienced Health and Safety Officer. The opportunity will be based in Stoke-on-Trent working for a forward thinking, tech based and innovative business which continues to grow and expand, therefore now is an exciting time for an individual looking for a new challenge.The role of Health and Safety Officer will be integral to the development, monitoring and implementation of our HSQE policy. You will ensure that the business is always compliant with Health and Safety Regulation.You will be based between the office and warehouse so this position will suit an individual that is able to adapt to both environments. This is an entrepreneurial environment that requires an individual to be adaptable and independent.Responsibilities will include:

  • Implement the companys health, safety, quality and environmental policy, procedures and management systems.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and instruction in all health & safety matters.
  • Delivering Health & Safety induction programmes for new employees or sub-contractors based on site.
  • Planning, implementation & review of a suitable Health & Safety system and assisting in maintaining ISO accreditation.
  • Provide technical support regarding the H&S management system, legislation updates, and other technical advice.
  • Create risk assessments and method statements for all works and develop and implement appropriate controls.
  • Conduct regular inspections and site audits.
  • Ensure that all accidents are reported, recorded, and investigated and that suitable notification is given as required.
  • Ensure that all training and equipment certification completed.
    • Experience and Qualifications Required
  • Qualification in Health and Safety desirable.
  • Possess excellent IT skills and communication.
  • Flexibility to travel to UK based sites.
