Job Description

Health and Safety Advisor / £40-£45k / Bonus / Car or Car Allowance & BensLooking to join a company who are raising the bar on Health and Safety Fantastic opportunity for a passionate Health and Safety Advisor looking to join a thriving residential contractor to support their continued drive of a positive health and safety culture.The successful Health and Safety Advisor will be site based covering projects across West Midlands to East Cheshire and engaged in all aspects of the residential schemes from pre-construction through to completion offering health and safety support and guidanceto all departments and stakeholders.Health and Safety Advisor role includes :

  • Involvement in pre-construction stage / review of Construction Phase Plans.
  • Contractor management assessment and capability at tender stage.
  • Attendance at pre-start meetings
  • Promotes the Companys Health, Safety and Environmental standards
  • Supports the regional site teams
  • Guidance and advice on the application of the H&S management system
  • Attend the Site Project Review Meetings
  • Provide a H&S reports.
  • H&S Alerts / Bulletins and Posters
  • Formal site inspections on allocated sites
  • H&S inspections of Principal Contractors in control of sites
  • Checks non-compliance reports and close out with corrective actions
Requirements for the Health and Safety Advisor :
  • Relevant experience within a Health and Safety Advisor role within the Construction industry ideally residential build
  • Detailed understanding of CDM Regulations
  • NEBOSH Construction certificate
  • AIEMA desirable
  • Minimum Tech IOSH working towards CMIOSH
  • Full driving licence
