Job Description

Group Health and Safety ManagerLocation: Stoke on Trent Area Salary: Circa £70k - £80k plus company car and excellent benefits A large global manufacturing business which includes Steel Foundries, Castings, Precision Machining and assembly plants. The company now require a Group Health and Safety Manager to join their team.Group Health and Safety ManagerJob Role: The company currently have 21 manufacturing facilities around the world with ten sites in the UK all situated around the Staffordshire and Stoke area employing a total of circa 1200 members of staff.Each site has their own H&S Manager and your role will be to visit the sites making sure each site is operating inline with the groups HSE Policies and Procedures. Undertaking Site Audits, Ensuring Machinery and Equipment are in a safe working condition,making sure a positive Health and Safety Culture is being promoted and also working towards a zero incident environment.Group Health and Safety ManagerPerson Requirements: The ideal candidate MUST come from the Aerospace Group Health and Safety Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications or experience:

  • Hold a recognised engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng
  • Have a NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ or NVQ 5 in Occupational Health and Safety
  • CMIOSH or working towards
  • Have a strong engineering background ideally from a foundry, castings or similar environment
  • Have a strong understanding of Machine Safety
  • Experience of dealing with the local authority, HSE and Environmental Agency or similar
