Job Description

Gateway Team Leader (Homelessness / Supported Housing) Location: Stoke, Stoke on TrentSalary: £25,755Hours: 37.5Contract Type: Fixed Term (6 - 12 months)All applications by Thursday 18 March 2021Our client is looking for a Gateway Team Leader to join their new and exciting service that is revolutionising homelessness in Stoke-on-Trent by working in partnership with local organisations to make homelessness history.Since October 2020 this service has accommodated 265 people, but there’s still more work to be done. That’s where you come in… You’ll lead the Gateway Team on a full time, fixed term basis making sure to provide tailored, quality housing and support.Job requirements:

  • Making sure the Gateway team is adequately staffed by producing rotas and work plans
  • Run the team to meet all safety, legal and service requirements
  • Be an ambassador for the Company and the service, able to communicate their mission and purpose to both customers and stakeholders.
  • Quality assure safety plans and assessments
  • Manage the service waiting list and prioritise access based on need
  • Oversee the case manager system
  • Monitor and report on availability across all accommodation
  • What they’re looking for:
  • Have 12 months experience of leading a team supporting adults with complex needs
  • Have a sound understanding of all Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
  • Have a genuine understanding of people impacted by homelessness
  • Be flexible, adaptable, resilient and able to overcome challenges
  • Have strong organisational, time management and communication skills
  • A good general knowledge of homelessness, housing and welfare reform
  • The successful person for this role will need to be DBS checked and have their own vehicle that’s suitable for business use too
