Job Description

A global, established Insurance Business who specialises in home, pet, and car insurance. They are looking to grow their development team by adding two Senior .NET Developers who are passionate about clean code and working with a variety of tech stacks.No technology is off limits!Tech Stack: C#, .NETcore, SQL, Azure, Angular, VuejsClient DetailsOur client is an established Insurance Group that have a variety of different platforms and businesses within the group that all specialise in an area of insurance. They develop all their insurance platforms and internal systems in house and are going througha large digital transformation where they are migrating all of their applications to the cloud (Azure).This is an exciting time to join, as they are currently redesigning the Front End, and will be going through a Proof of Concept for another of their platforms to establish which language is the most appropriate to use.DescriptionYou will be joining a team of 8 Developers (Juniors, Mids and Seniors) who all work collaboratively in an agile environment, having bi-weekly sprint meetings to meet the project requirements.As the Senior Developer you will be responsible for:

  • Participating at all stages of the SDLC from the concept through to release
  • Work with a team of QAs, developers, UX designers and ensure that the development quality is maintained to a high standard
  • Liaise with internal stakeholder to keep them updated with the progress of the project
  • Ensure that clean code and best development practices are used throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Develop and support a variety of applications using C#, .NET to the cloud
  • Mentor Junior Developers if they need help/their code reviewed
Profile
  • C# .Net software development experience (full stack)
  • Experience in .NET (+ .NET Core), ASP.NET, SQL, Web API
  • Advanced Front-End experience, preferably using Angular (React, Vue, Blazor, JavaScript)
  • Clear understanding and experience of working in Agile Software development
  • Any cloud experience highly desirable - Azure / AWS
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed timescales
  • Excellent problem solving and analytic skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team to contribute to the overall goals of the group
  • Commercial experience as a software developer
