Job Description

We are actively seeking a Design and Technology Teacher, to deliver KS3 & KS4 Food Technology ( Hospitality & Catering) also covering Resistant Materials, Product Design, & Graphics at KS3 to a range of pupils across the ability range. The school is anOFSTED improving school, with a supportive SLT, behaviour is well managed, and you will be supported by an excellent HODThe school will consider either an experienced or an ETC, teaching Resistant Materials and a range of additional topics associated withDesign Technology, who is willing to teach Food Technology with support from the department. You will be supported in devisingcreative and engaging lessons, and be able to build rapport and relationships with students, to raise expectation and performance.The successful candidate will be:

  • Current teaching experience, QTS, ETC
  • Energetic and driven
  • Capable of dealing with students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities
  • Be engaging and creative
  • Effectively plan lessons across Design Technology
  • Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willing to apply for a new DBS
