Job Description

Cordius are currently looking for a Field/Workshop Maintenance Engineer to join a business based in Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent area. This position is mostly field based, however occasional work in the engineering workshop will be required.As a Field/Workshop Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment in the workshop. When visiting customers sites, you will be expected to perform service interventions, such as inspection, maintenance, and repair.Duties and responsibilities

  • Carry out routine and unscheduled maintenance work, respond to equipment faults and correctly identifying parts required for repair.
  • Diagnose breakdown problems, investigate causes and provide preventative enhancements; promote continuous improvement, product feedback, and suggestions.
  • Operate the companys products in any application and ensure up to date knowledge with the products by attending training. Those can include centrifuge, filtration, screening, thermal drying and other products.
  • Provide technical training and fundamental user functionality training when appropriate.
  • Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
  • Deliver comprehensive, precise, and high-quality Service Reports and Time Sheets.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with all company, legal, and customer health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure any complaints are recorded, communicated and dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide information to the sales support staff to enable prompt submission of high-quality, accurate quotations to customers.
  • Be willing to alter your work schedule to accommodate personnel absences and/or catastrophic breakdowns as necessary.
Skills and experience
  • Ability to read system schematics. Well-versed in engineering drawings, BOM, parts lists, and operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Extensive hands-on mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Excellent technical understanding of generic process plant.
  • Understanding of safety and equipment procedures.
  • The ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Capable of writing and customizing Risk Assessment - Method Statement.
  • Good communication skills
  • The initiative to work on your own or as part of a team.
