  • Ensure health and safety remains at the forefront within the fabrication workshops, depot and yard area to enable the group H&S KPIs to be met and provide a safe workplace for all employees/contractors and customers.
  • To ensure all waste containers are refurbished to a high standard and completed in line with expectations.
  • Ensure all working equipment is thoroughly checked daily prior to use and ensure clear reporting of any defective equipment, ensure all defective is taken out of service immediately and esure the equipment is stored away in a locked quarantine area.
  • Ensure all risk assessments and working instructions are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure all workshop areas are kept clean,tidy and free from trip hazards where possible, ensure all waste material is disposed of in the correct containers as soon as practically possible.
  • Ensure all working equipment is securely stowed away at the end of every working shift
  • Ensure all movement of any size container is carried out in a controlled manner by using 2 way radios and the assistance of a banksman.
  • Ensure all plant equipment is checked daily prior to use and ensure clear reporting of any defective equipment, ensure all defective plant is reported and taken out of service immediately.
  • Ensure all records for each container that has been refurbished is recorded and provided at the end of every working month.
  • To keep a rolling monthly stock check of all consumables within the refurbishment workshops whilst ensuring all stock is ordered in a timely manner.
  • To ensure accurate recordings of overtime worked and the recording of working breaks.
  • To assist with the running of the waste transfer station by using yellow plant machinery when called upon.
  • To help with the delivery and removal of containers by the use of flatbed vehicles when called upon.
  • To ensure the safe loading and unloading of containers on/off vehicles.
  • Ensure all paperwork is up to date and compliant
  • Ensure that Company aims and objectives are met as well as ensuring that duties are completed in an efficient manner with a level of professionalism maintained at all times
What are we looking for
  • FLT Counterbalance licence
  • MIG Welding Qualification
  • Telehandler Yellow Plant licence
  • Commercial operations background Manual Handling certificate
  • Good time management skills
  • Risk and COSHH knowledge
  • Strong Organisation skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Effective communication
  • Coded Welding Certificate - Desirable
