Job Description

A Primary School in Stoke-on-Trent (Fenton) have approached Empowering Learning to recruit a Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis.This Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant position offers secure work from April until July with the potential to extend following a successful three month period. This Stoke-on-Trent school are looking to appoint a Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistantto support in the mainstream classroom as well as work on a 1:1 and small group basis with Early Years students. There is potential however to allocate the Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant to a particular year group should you have a preference anddemonstrate a natural ability to succeed in the role.Hours: 8:45 - 3:15With children only recently returning to full-time education, a number of students having encountered difficulties reintegrating into mainstream education following the impact of the pandemic. This Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant role requiresa nurturing, empathetic and compassionate approach with a long-term focus on ensuring children are able to bridge the gap in attainment they suffered during Covid.The school has an Good Ofsted rating and following its last inspection received plaudits on its commitment to improving behaviour, stretching higher ability students and improving outcomes for Pupil students. Behaviour at this school is good witha focus on positive reinforcement and a nurturing approach. SLT are supportive and take pride in integrating new staff, enabling them to reach their full potential and support students in reaching theirs.
