Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager.The Darwin Centre, part of North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust is a regional in-patient 15 bedded centre set in heart of the Penkhull. The centre facilitates comprehensive assessment, treatment and recovery for young people age 12-18 year.The Centre offers a therapeutic environment to support the young people in overcoming their challenges. Young people within the centre may be supported with mental health difficulties such as significant emotional disorders, psychotic disorders and eating disorders.We aim to ensure that young people and families are supported to make informed choices about their lives and current situation throughout their care journey.

  • The Trust offers Continuing Professional Development (CPD) which is tailored to meet the professional development of individual nurses; individual CPD advice is available from our Practice Education Team. The CPD offer includes the option to rotate within the Trust to widen your breadth of experience, skills and knowledge.
