Job Description

A Hands-On CRM Analyst role FTC (6 months) in mid-size enterprise reports Marketing, to lead a customer data migration, define customer data strategy, clean/migrate customer database across multiple brands and territories, support segmentation with marketingteam and ensure meets all GDPR compliance.CRM Data AnalystCustomer Data Responsibilities:

  • Manage, plan and track a customer database clean up exercise - to set up enterprise for success in customer segmentation initially eCRM (ESP)
  • Deliver agreed new ESP (current is Mailchimp) and support marketing team re. identifying potential new ESPs that meet defined requirements
  • Define what good looks like for customer data strategy
  • Lead small internal project team : identify AS-IS data and processes, define data strategy and hands-on organise data cleansing exercise
  • Hand over to BAU team with documentation and basic training as required
  • Step through and document all AS-IS data flows and processes including suppression to establish current blockers and issues. Identify all data touchpoints and current data bases, document
  • Define customer attributes for master data and gap fit with current data sets
  • Check all data strategy decisions are aligned with Legal team (GDPR approach)
  • Capture business strategy decisions regarding group database, cookies strategy and preference centre via workshop with internal stakeholders and external partners eg One Trust
  • Run database healthcheck to ascertain AS IS data quality, eg via data audit sample and automated cleansing process. Review data completeness and suggest options, eg whether to append new data and/or purge non responsive subscribers
  • Clean up database using eg 3rd party tools
  • Export cleansed data into ESP, working with business and IS teams and Technology partner
  • Define requirements for ESP & set up new ESP if needed, working with small team of stakeholders in Marketing and Ecom teams
  • Work with Head of Digital Marketing to agree segmentation strategy with marketing & Ecom stakeholders, and expedite
Handover to BAU team, with documentation and training as applicableCRM Data AnalystCustomer Data Requirements
  • Must have B2C customer database experience, ideally strong digital background
  • Database Experienceeg Data analysis, migration, particularly with regards customer data migration, eg ESP, Zendesk, Salesforce
  • Experience of process mapping & workflow tools eg Jira - desirable
  • Good experience and appreciation of GDPR and data privacy regulations and impact on customer journey
  • Ideally Ecommerce/Digital background
  • Knowledge of the project life cycle and project development methodologies
