Job Description

Credit Control and Sales Ledger ManagerTunstallTemp (Rolling)We are looking for a motivated individual to oversee a sales ledger department. The role primarily includes credit control and ensuring accurate accounting for retail ledger balances. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider finance teamand will report directly to the Finance Director.Main duties

  • Lead a small sales ledger team
  • Ensure wholesale customer credit accounts are paid in full and on time
  • Oversee retail (online and showroom) sales leger reconciliations
  • Oversee cash, card, PayPal and bank account reconciliations
  • Assess and determine customer credit limits
  • Ensure sales cut off has been correctly applied
  • Ensure sales invoices, credit notes and refunds are processed correctly
  • Work closely with the wider finance team to produce accurate management accounts
  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Liaise with third party debt recovery agencies
  • Investigate ad hoc customer queries and rectify to ensure sales ledger transactions are correct
Key skills
  • Experience in working in and / or running a sales ledger / finance department
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Must have strong IT and systems skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a structured manner and to prioritise workload
