Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a family run automotive engineering company in Stoke on Trent as a full-time CNC Operator. The role offers a competitive salary up to £24,000 per annum based on experience. Along with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, you will receive a workplace pension, ongoing training and career progression opportunities for the right candidate. As the CNC Operator your tasks will include:

  • Programming, setting and operating a Haas Mini Mill.
  • Programming, setting and operating a Bridgeport Mill.
  • Working accurately and according to technical drawings and measurements.
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures to ensure safety at work.
The CNC Operator will have the following skills and experience:
  • Good communicator, reliable and self-motivated with a positive can do attitude to work.
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as alone and unsupervised.
  • Have a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Heidenhein would be a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc controllers using G Code, with the ability to use Reinshaw probing cycles is desirable but training can be provided.
You will be working 39 hours per week between 8.00am5.00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8.00am1.00pm on Friday, with half an hour for lunch.
