Are you an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, looking for a new rewarding opportunity where you can make a difference and change lives for the betterWorking up to 37.5 hours a week at Moorlands Neurological Centre in Stoke-On-Trent, you will provide psychological assessment and treatment to patients in our new Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation service, in collaboration with the transdisciplinary team,and under the direction and supervision of a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist.In this role, you will participate fully with the transdisciplinary team and ensure that patients are fully engaged in their care pathway. You will support clinical team working, including both direct interventions and the delivery of staff training programmes.As a Registered Psychologist, you will have experience in managing your own caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support care plans and maximise patient outcomes.*Please note that part time hours are available for this positionYour responsibilities will include:

• To provide psychological assessments of patients based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales direct andindirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the patients care.
• To formulate plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a patients mental health problems based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the patients problems, and employing methods based upon empirical research.
• To implement a range of psychological interventions for individuals within and across teams employed individually and in synthesis, adjusting and refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining a number of provisionalhypotheses.
• To develop and manage groupwork programmes and innovative therapeutic approaches. To ensure that appropriate outcome measures are in place.
• To ensure that Psychology practices in the service maintains the highest standards of professional practice and ethics, complying with clinical governance standards at all times.

To be successful as a Registered Psychologist, youll need:

• Successful completion of a Doctorate in either Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
• Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
• Experience (either pre-training, on training, or subsequently) of working with clients with complex needs that are relevant to the population in the service area.
• Competency in psychological assessment and formulation skills and an aptitude for learning new assessment methods.
• Competency as regards risk assessment/management tools and formulation.
• Clinical therapy skills - Experience using a range of models to address a range of clinical and behavioural issues.
