Job Description

Chef de PartieWe are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client who are a global leader in location-based family entertainmentThey have a vacancy for a talented Chef De Partie who will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the daily organisation of the kitchen to achieve the required standard of food presentationAs a Chef De Partie your main responsibilities include:

  • Maintain standards of presentation (laid down in the Kitchen Standard Operating Procedure) on menus within the restaurant
  • Replace Mise En Plas or next service or next day
  • To maintain high standards of fire, hygiene and safety as laid down by Company and local Environmental Heath
  • To ensure the correct preparation, cooking and presentation of all food in the section as per recipes and Standard Operating Procedures and to be fully conversant with all menu items available
  • To ensure Opening and Closing procedures and cleaning schedules are implemented as per the kitchen standards of performance manual
  • To have the full knowledge and be able to act upon the Fire Procedures as laid down in the hotel fire manual with compliance to the Fire Precautions Act 1971 and to attend fire training as requested
  • To be fully conversant and able to implement the required standards of hygiene and safety as outlined in the Hotels and Company policies
  • Check Mise an Plas for selection and general hygiene within the kitchen areas
  • To ensure cleaning schedule is achieved and immediate equipment is maintained on your section before leaving shift
  • Report to Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef for debrief before departing
  • To ensure all accidents or near accidents caused by hazards are reported to the Duty Manager or Health and Safety Manager
For this Chef de Partie role you will need:
  • A strong background in the catering industry or experience in a similar role
  • Comfortable conducting training
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A professional approach to your work
  • Upbeat, positive attitude to work
