Procurement Buyer – Facilities ServicesStoke on Trent, Staffordshire£24k to £28k pending experience plus discretionary bonusThis is a great opportunity for a Buyer in the early stages of your career to join a national procurement function supporting a market leader and national brand within the facilities management and services sector. This role would really suit applicants in the first few years of a procurement career, ideally degree educated and studying or qualified up to level 4 CIPS accreditation looking for a large organisation to support your development and career growth.This role will see you focusing upon buying/procurement and supply chain development activities across mechanical and electrical commodities and services to support engineering operations across the business. Experience of technical content within a FM service provider would be nice to have but in this case not essential. We are keen to hear from applicants that can demonstrate experience of structured procurement and supplier management processes aimed at delivering cost savings, supply chain efficiency improvements and ensuring supplier service levels meet the needs of the business and on time delivery targets.Key Responsibilities- Review all contracts procurement related to ensure we have consistency and alignment to company requirements- Manage and support purchase orders approvals, setting limits and reporting on spend data- Support on new mobilisation of contracts within Technical Services- Review compliance spend and report on rebate, run rate and forecast - To manage the Maximo supply chain system with inclusion and locking of supply chain as and when required- Support on tenders, projects and scopes and attend client meetings in all procurement matters- Review works order process within the dispatch team, look at a new portal to work alongside the subcontractor requirements to increase revenue- Review of non-compliance spend to rationalise and challenge on spend outside the PSL- Update and manage the dispatch sub-team scopes for the main contacts within Technical Services- Support the dispatch team to ensure a monthly update is adhered to and key suppliers are engaged- Support on any payment issues, legal notices and suppliers that are on stop- Working with procurement managers and buyers to source the right products and services to achieve saving targets - Negotiating contracts with suppliers Professional and personal competencies/qualifications- CIPS Level 4 qualified or working towards this qualification- Experience of current Procurement practice and tools - Ability to self-organise and prioritise workload effectively- Strong relationship and influencing skills and the ability to operate and persuade at all levels of the company and suppliers is essential - Results orientated - a strong focus on the achievement of targeted results.For more information or to apply, please click the apply now button to submit your CV to Phil Bloomer of Procurement People Ltd, part of the Executive Network Group
