Job Description

Area Sales Manager - Construction Tools & EquipmentJob Title: Area Sales Manager - Construction Tools & EquipmentIndustry Sector: Construction Tools, Construction Equipment, Plant Hire, National Chains, DIY, Contractors, National and Independent Builders Merchants, Contractors, Main Contractors Area to be covered: Midlands & North of EnglandMust be based: commutable to StaffordRemuneration: £30,000-£40,000 + bonusBenefits: VW Caddy Van & Full BenefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Construction Tools & Equipment will involve:

  • Field sales role, selling a manufactured range of construction tools & equipment such as: concrete slabs protection, concrete hand tools, brick tools, masonry, mortar and plastering trowels, site tools, plant equipment and formwork
  • Majority of your time will be spent selling to national and independent builders merchants, national chains, contractors and builders
  • When selling the small hand tools brand it could be classed a B2C selling
  • Inheriting an area with unlimited accounts and work to go at
  • 50 / 50 spilt between account management and new business
  • Covering the whole of the North and Midlands however must be commutable to Stafford for initial training period
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Construction Tools & Equipment with:
  • Must have construction field sales experience
  • Ideally from a construction tools & equipment background however open if you have relationship with national chains, builders merchants and contractors
  • Must have B2B sales experience
  • Knowledge of concrete slab protection tools and construction tools equipment advantageous however not essential
  • Go getter with roll sleeves up mentality
