Context for the role:The Identity Service Lead will be accountable for the development and delivery of a robust Identity service and associated controls within the Enterprise Security Identity & Access Management team. The role holder will ensure that M&G Prudential is effectively managing Identity services in line with associated Standards, Policies and Controls. The role holder will have significant experience in the delivery and management of Identity services. The role-holder will ensure the secure and stable delivery of the Identity services for which they are accountable. This shall include, but is not limited to; Providing SME input and delivery to strategy and related change and improvement programmes, Delivery of service against KPIs, Ownership and operation of audit controls, Overseeing delivery of remedial activity arising from audit and assurance activities, vendor and MSA relationship management. As well as ensuring delivery of effective service, the role-holder will be responsible for the management and development of staff. This role requires strong stakeholder management focus, both internally and externally, therefore the ability to build and manage complex relationships will be key to the success of the role. BAU Service Management
  • Work collaboratively with other Identity functions, as well as the wider Enterprise Security and M&G Prudential organisational teams, to ensure the secure and stable delivery of Identity related to one of the following services:
  • Privileged Access Management (Inc CyberArk, PIM, Key Mgt.)
  • Authentication Services (Inc. MFA, SSO, Federation)
  • Directory Management (Inc AD, AAD)
  • Identity Management (Inc. IGA System Support)
  • Access Management (Access Provisioning/ deprovisioning)
  • Identity Controls & Assurance
  • Development Of service catalogue and associated procedural documentation.
  • Provide appropriate mechanism for the capturing and management of relevant metrics to provide visibility of service and continuous improvement.
  • Vendor relationship management - working with key vendors to ensure delivery and ongoing service improvement.
  • Controls
  • Ownership & Operation of controls appropriate to the Identity service for which they are accountable, including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley controls and CobIT interim / annual attestations.
  • Ensuring ongoing progression and alignment to Identity related standards.
  • Identify opportunities for security controls optimisation in line with emerging threats internally and externally. Support identification of appropriate, fit for purpose and cost effective control solutions, and adopting new security technologies to support effective and efficient management of risk and controls.
  • Management Information
  • Provide timely reporting on key service metrics to relevant audiences including the Head of Identity & Access Management, Internal Audit teams, 2nd Line Risk etc., as required
  • Team Management
  • As a member of the Enterprise Security Identity Team, contribute to the overall strategic and operational management of Identity, as required.
  • Act as subject matter expert for Identity matters; educating colleagues, sharing knowledge and embedding good practice for the benefit of M&G Prudential.
  • Oversee the management of direct reports, including daily and ad-hoc activities for which the team is responsible.
  • Develop the teams capabilities through appropriate levels of mentoring and training.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain an active network of contacts, both internally in the M&G Prudential organisation, and externally in the security industry, actively participating in information exchanges on a formal and informal basis.
  • Influence leaders in the organisation to committee to the minimum Identity related Security standards.
  • Input to the development and implementation of policies, standards and guidelines related to Identity that align to business objectives.
