Job Description

Facilities Manager who has experience overseeing building maintenance, external grounds, cleaning and security is required for a well-established manufacturer based in Stirling, Scotland.SALARY: Competitive + Benefits (see below)LOCATION: Stirling, ScotlandJOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentJOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Facilities Managerwho has experience overseeing building maintenance, external grounds, cleaning and security.Working as the Facilities Manager you will oversee building and maintenance work required to keep the standard of facilities and site in a safe condition, which you will do by developing plans to ensure all building maintenance needs are addressed.As the Facilities Manager you will work across departments, utilising construction and tendering knowledge to ensure the site is maintained safely and in line with budgetary requirements.APPLY TODAYIf this job looks like your ideal position, then please send in your CV as soon as possible for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as the Facilities Manager include:

  • Assess the standard of all buildings and external areas to ensure the safety and well-being of all stakeholders on site
  • Ensuring safety through identification and elimination of hazards from the built environment
  • Ensuring site facilities and amenities are well-maintained and conducting proactive maintenance
  • Sourcing and managing contracts for service providers such as cleaning and security
  • Dealing with emergencies as they arise
  • Managing budget
  • Ensuring that facilities meet compliance standards and government regulations;
  • Planning for the future by forecasting the facility’s upcoming requirements
  • Overseeing renovations, refurbishments, and building projects
  • Facilitating office relocations
  • Drafting maintenance reports and keeping maintenance records
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • A professional qualification in facilities management, built environment or similar with experience in a similar role
  • Experience of working with building contractors
  • Working knowledge of Building Standard (Scotland) Regulations
  • Experience of asbestos control and regulations preferred
  • Experience of legionella control preferred
  • Project Management skills
  • Experience of leading a team
