Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Striling, is currently looking to recruit an Administration Assistant for a rolling contract on a rate of £12.2222 hours per week (5 days per week)oMonday – 12.00pm – 4.00pmoTuesday – 9.00am – 1.00pmoWednesday – 12.00pm – 4.00pmoThursday– 12.00pm – 4.00pmoFriday – 9.00am – 4.00pmResponsibilities:- To deal with first line enquires.- Record and monitor enquiries.- Process orders, invoices and other data on College systems in accordance with appropriate guidelines.- Assist in the maintenance of College information for customers.- Prepare accurate information when requested.- Respond to all first line personal and tele-phone enquiries.- Record and monitor all enquiries.- Develop and maintain robust cross college links.- Develop and maintain systems for collation of information and documents.- Develop and maintain efficient filing system.- Input and retrieve data as required.Essential Skills:- SVQ level 2 or NC in appropriate area.- Knowledge of office administration and best practice.- Understanding of good customer care approaches.- Evidence of effective administration skills.- Minimum of 1 years office experience.- Experience of dealing with first line enquiries.- Excellent ICT and keyboard skills e.g. ECDL level.- Experience of dealing effectively and efficiently with people and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving.- Experience of word-processing, spreadsheet, database and other software packages for the preparation of minutes, letters and reports.- Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) are essential as is the ability to be flexible in your approach in meeting the demands of the post.Desirable Skills:- HNC or equivalent in appropriate area e.g. guidance or information management.- Knowledge and understanding of student support needs.- Experience of similar environment.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
