Job Description

We fully believethat here we have a role here that ticks many boxes for job searches in todays market.We are currently working with a progressive business specialising in remedial works for residential and commercial clients who are looking to add another Quantity Surveyor to their growing team in brand new offices based in Stepps.This is an opportunity for someone to come in and make this role their own, you will have the support of a Commercial Director with many years expertise behind them and whilst the remit of the position is detailed below, this will be a fast paced role sono two days will look the same!Typical day to day duties include:

The complete financial and contractual control of the projects / accounts assigned.
Forecasting, monitoring and reporting accurately on every project.
Advising and guiding on all contract and commercial issues.
Maintaining high quality financial control systems.
Be responsible for the compilation of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required.
Be responsible for all cost control procedures, including managing and controlling the budget and valuations by always updating the estimated final costs, and having the ability to show absolute cost and value reconciliation.
Be able to control all commercial tasks and responsibilities on site.
Contribute to the conceptual designs/options to ensure the design is kept within the budgeted values.
Analyse and report on costs and cash flow using the support systems available.

We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and outstanding commercial acumen to help the business drive excellence and ultimately help the business achieve their growth targets..Previous experience in a surveying role is required as is a relevant industry qualification. It would be highly desirable for you to have some experience in housebuilding, fit out or maintenance and repair sectors, but this is not essential.In return you will find yourself working for a growing business as they continue to create and maintain strong relationships with clients.
