Position: Project Manager - WaterLocation: Glasgow or Inverness with hybrid workingRate Guide: £55-65k (neg DOE), car or allowance and excellent packageOur Client: Is a leading design and build contractor operating in the water sector. They have over 1,000 staff working across eight regional centres, primarily supporting six long term water sector frameworks through a number of joint ventures and alliances.They are part of a Joint Venture formed to deliver Scottish Waters Non-Infrastructure programme.The Role: Our Client is looking to strengthen their delivery team with a Project Manager for their joint venture framework. Based in Glasgow or Inverness you will lead an integrated design and build project team in the design, procurement construction andcommissioning of a range of water treatment projects in the West of Scotland.Responsibilities: Report directly to the Operations Manager.Ensure that assigned projects are completed in the most efficient manner to the specification, within the time required and within the tender estimate without risk to the health and safety of all concerned while ensuring good customer satisfactionPromote exceptional safety and delivery quality standards to direct and subcontracted work forceEnsure good relationships are maintained with joint venture partners and suppliers.Make sure, in conjunction with the design manager, that an adequate technical, safety and environmental review is carried out for each project to ensure successful deliveryEnsure that appropriately detailed construction plans and method statements are prepared, in place and approved prior to commencement of activities and that all site non-conformities are reported, and approximate costs identifiedEnsure all commercial aspects of the project are managed in a timely and proactive way giving accurate forecast and estimatesMaintain an appropriate practical knowledge and appreciation of all technical disciplines associated with delivering water and wastewater design and build projects.Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the water/wastewater treatment industry is preferableExperience in multidisciplinary engineering environment in the water or process industryWorking knowledge of CDM and construction health and safetyMinimum HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a construction or engineering related disciplineMust be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives.Relevant CSCS cardKey Words:Project ManagerProject ManagementProject DeliveryProgramme ManagerProgramme ManagementTechnical DeliveryConstructionEngineeringWater IndustryWater SectorWater TreatmentWastewaterWaste WaterSewageUtilitiesFramework DeliveryJVProcess IndustryProcess Industries
