Role: Mechanical EngineerSalary: £29,000 to £33,000 (dependant on experience)Contract: PermanentLocation: Pontefract, WF8 3DD Shift Available: Monday to Friday 05:30am to 14:30pm Dovecote Park We are a family business established in Yorkshire since 1997 based in Pontefract with a reputation for exceptional product, innovation and industry leading animal welfare standards. Our facilities combine traditional British butchery technique with some of the best technological prowess in the food sector.A committed team of over 700 staff oversee the whole process: from procuring the best possible livestock from our carefully picked group of farms, through butchery, retail packaging and despatch before it finally arrives on the supermarket shelf or as part of the restaurant dining experience.About you:

Previous experience of working within a FMCG/Food Manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential

Apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer or equivalent qualification

Experience with the maintenance and repair of gearboxes, conveyor systems, pumps bearings, Hydraulics and Pneumatics

Computer literate - able to use Microsoft packages etc.

Flexible in your ability to work on your own or within a Team

Be able to work under pressure

Role:

Provide engineer maintenance support to all production areas

Fault finding

Attend breakdowns and minimise downtime

Experience of working with and implementing PPM systems

Able to understand engineering drawings

Working to Health and Safety guidelines
