Demonstrable experience within an IT Infrastructure environment

The ability to monitor, support and improve network infrastructure and services

Solve problems in a process driven manner to see the "bigger picture"

A self-starter with the ability to take ownership of anything from day to day issues to more complex projects

Commitment to further training and a willingness to participate in continuing professional development

The role will require cover of both our Pontefract and Skellingthorpe sites so a full driving license will be required

Role:

Automate IT Services where applicable to improve system resiliency.

Responsible for keeping accurate and up to date documentation on tasks, projects and the existing infrastructure

Continuously analyse and improve current IT Infrastructure and Services.

Provide support for IT Services, working in partnership with all members of the IT Team

Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and vendors to implement system changes for various critical systems

Maintain and manage core network infrastructure/server environment

Ensure security and compliance standards are maintained

Promote the use of the Service desk.

Provide remote support on an ad-hoc basis

Knowledge and Experience:

Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems

Active Directory, DNS and DHCP

In Depth Server and storage infrastructure including virtualization technologies such as VMware and Nimble SANs

Network VLAN / LAN, Wireless, firewall / security technologies

Microsoft Office 365 / Azure

Veeam or similar backup technologies

ITIL framework

SQL exposure

Skilled in problem solving and providing appropriate solutions, can classify and prioritise problems

Some linux knowledge would be advantageous
