Job Description

A Secondary school located in Stanstead, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. Whether you are a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or an early career teacher (ECT), we welcome applications from individuals who areenthusiastic about inspiring young minds and fostering a love for science.Position: Science Teacher Location: Stanstead Contract Type: Full-time, PermanentResponsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons to students, ensuring a stimulating learning experience.
  • Teach across key stages, incorporating a range of teaching strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes active participation and scientific inquiry.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing interventions where necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a cohesive and innovative science curriculum.
  • Utilize technology and practical experiments to enhance students understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Support and guide students in their scientific investigations and experiments.
  • Promote a culture of scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and attendance.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in a Science-related discipline.
  • Strong subject knowledge across the science curriculum.
  • Passion for science and a desire to inspire students interest in the subject.
  • Effective communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest scientific developments.
  • NQTs or ECTs are encouraged to apply.
