Job Description

Maintenance Assistant Odd Jobs All(Building Fabric, Heating, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, Mechanical and General). Location: Stansted MountfitchetResponsible for carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance and repair work to buildings, grounds, fixtures, and fittings.Overview:Full-timeImmediate Spring StartSalary: £12.00 - £13.00 per hourOption of flexible hours with early / late / twilight > providing total hours are met etcBenefits:

Duties:
  • Planning inspections and reactive maintenance tasks in several sectors (Building Fabric, Heating, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, Mechanical and General).
  • Health and Safety awareness with a personal responsibility.
  • Floor checks to highlight and correct issues (salt levels, light bulbs, doors/fire doors, boiler functions, water leaks and gas safety checks)
  • Non-specialist minor maintenance, repairs and decorating.
  • Minor repairs to furniture and internal fixtures and fittings.
  • Visual checks to electrical fittings and equipment.
  • Reporting faults that require specialist skills.
  • Liaising with contractors and ensuring they are inducted and supported by you whilst on the premises.
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety checks are in place for safe working and the location where maintenance is due.
  • Supporting colleagues with work that demands multiple individuals.
  • Statutory inspections and audits as required.
  • Ensure that the appropriate measures are in place to keep yourself and others safe.
  • Check the daily reception log to resolve maintenance issues reported by guests and staff.
  • Taking initiative to carry out jobs on the general maintenance list when unsupervised.
